Essar Infrastructure will carry out the engineering, procurement and construction activity with an investment of Rs 176 crore to develop Roll-On, Roll-Off service across the Gulf of Khambhat between Ghogha near Bhavnagar in Saurashtra and Dahej in Bharuch district in central Gujarat. The service by Gujarat Maritime Board, will be used for the movement of goods and people movement between Saurasthra and South Gujarat. The time of journey will be reduces from over seven hours to one and half hours through this new service. Essar bagged the deal after a competitive bidding held recently.
this project will reduce the time spent in transportation and ultimately will reduce the cost of the transportation in these days where fuel prices are hike tremendosuly. this project completion in time will be a milestone for state development.
