Jaypee Cement, the cement manufacturing arm of Jaiprakash Associates (JPA) is waiting for an approval to set up a 2.4 – mtpa cement plant in Gujarat’s Kutch.
According to a report, the company has formed a joint venture with Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited called Gujarat Jaypee Cement and Infrastructure Limited, through which it plants to set up a cement plant in Kutch.
The company requires 484 hectares to set up the plant and at this stage the company is also awaiting resolution of an issue of new Jantri by the Gujarat government.
