FlyDubai to launch Dubai-Ahmedabad weekly service from 27 August

Dubai’s first low cost airline flydubai will launch flights to the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat from August 27, the airline said in a statement today. Ahmedabad will be the 44th destination added by the Dubai based low cost airline across its network globally.

The flights will operate once in a week on Saturdays only. The airliner said that it will offer seats from Ahemedabad to Dubai beginning at Rs 7500 inclusive of taxes and seven kilograms of hand baggage. However, checked baggage allowance of 20kg can be purchased at INR 650 along with a seat with extra legroom at INR 1,250 the airline said. Flights from Dubai to Ahemdabad will cost Rs 6700 all inclusive.

The flight is expected to depart every Saturday from Dubai at 10:10pm and reach Ahmedabad on Sunday morning at 2:50 am.

The same aircraft will depart for Dubai on Sunday at 3:35am and will reach Dubai at 5:05am.

Said CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith: “We will be operating the Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the route, which has a seat capacity of 189 passengers. With a one flight per week initially we are expecting a healthy passenger load factor of 70 to 80 per cent at least.”

Flydubai launched its India operations in June last year and recently added the city of Hyderabad on its network. According to industry estimates, about five million Indian expatriate population is living and working in the Gulf region.

“Ahmedabad is one of the most prosperous cities in the region and is renowned for its rich past and association with Mahatma Gandhi. I am delighted to be able to announce today that it will become the third Indian city on flydubai’s rapidly expanding network,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, in a statement.

    Now just watch FlyDubai mint money which that fool patel denied Air India. In fact all the losses for AIr India should be recouped from personal savings of this fool patel.
