Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has won a Rs 298.63 crore contract from Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam to construct the Limbdi branch canal in Gujarat, the engineering and construction company said in a notice to the stock exchanges.
HCC said the project will be completed in 18 months and it will also maintain and operate the canal for five years,
HCC said the Limbdi branch canal will extend irrigation benefits to 2.71 lakh acres of land in 189 villages of 11 talukas in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar and Surendranagar districts.
