Replying to a question raised by Congress leader and Porbandar MLA Arjun Modhwadia, Gujarat Finance Minister Vajubhai Vala said that Sanand based Nano car manufacture project of Tata Motors has provided employment to 2549 people.
Vala said, as per the Industry department’s rule, those units enjoying incentives given by the state government have to provide 85% employment to local people. Following this rule, Nano projects employs 1954 locals and 595 non-local people.
As per the figures they still employees 77% and 23% for locals and non-locals respectively…are they following rule??
