Power transmission line has been completed in Kutch at a cost of Rs.355-crore in a short duration of 36 months, in the year of golden jubilee of Gujarat, Minister of State for Energy Saurabh Patel said here today.
He said that several industrial houses have expressed desire to set up their units in the district, along with which the demand for electricity is also growing fast. The state government has decided to provide 50,000 new agricultural related connections as part of Plan-2010.
This includes100-km transmission lines of 220 KV and 240-km of 400 KV to carry 1,000 MW of electricity, besides sub-stations at Varsana, in the district.
