Finolex intends to invest Rs 100 crore for PVC pipes unit in Vadodara

Pune-based Finolex Industries is planning to set up Rs 100 crore PVC pipes manufacturing plant with a capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes per annum in Vadodara to reach out to the northern parts of India at reduced transport costs according to Business Standard report. The plant will come up over 31 acres land, out of which 21 acres agricultural land has already been purchased. However Gujarat Pollution Control Board and NA land approvals are awaited.

The company intends to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government during the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit (VGGIS) 2011, and expects to commission the plant in next two years from commencement of construction.
