Kandla to have Marine University centre next year

Gujarat’s Kandla port will have a centre of Chennai based Marine University.

The centre has been approved by central shipping ministry, and it will start functioning in February 2011.

The centre will have Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering, Diploma in Nautical Science, and BSc in Ship Repairing courses.

Kandla Port Trust will set up classrooms, hostel, laboratory and other facilities for proposed centre.

    To start it is ok.but to give them a proper placement in related firm with there suitable package is also necessary.This point is raised as it is not being happening to the present student of Post Graduate Diploma in Port Management which is conducted under the Gujarat University.It is started by Gujarat Government and the students doing this course are not considered as eligible for the related jobs in state government bodies i.e. G.M.B.
    Hope this does not happen in same manner to the new courses and Government do make required changes in there recruitment procedure for the existing course.

    IT IS VERY GOOD NEWS FOR ME & MY FRIENDS THAT UNIVERSITY IS STARTING IN GUJARAT I WOULD LIKE TO COME THERE BY NEXT YEAR NOW I AM IN CLASS 12.
