
Even as November 19 is the last date, all the 400 tents, including 150 air-conditioned ones, are booked for the first three days of forthcoming Rann Utsav, which is scheduled to be held at Dhordo in Kucth district of Gujarat from December 19, 2010 to January 19, 2011.
Rann Utsav will begin on December 19 with Kutch carnival on the banks of Bhuj’s historic Hamirsagar Lake, to be followed by cultural festival on December 20 in the backdrop of vast starches of silver white Rann of Kutch. Special arrangements have been made for booking 3-day-2-night stay.
According to Tourism Secretary Vipul Mitra, the popularity of the festival, also known as Rannotsav, being organized by the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL), is increasing every year among domestic and foreign tourists.
A 400-tent township is being erected. The highlights include camel safari, especially to enjoy moonlit night, Kutchi bhajans, accompanied by traditional musical instruments like Morchang, Jodia Pava and Kafi by local artists.

we’ll feel deseart is place full of hardship but there r few who can see beauty in it.The Deseat safari in full moon night will made u feel like walking on moon.The white Rann of Kutch is as beautifull as vast green meadows or range of mountain.I can promise you a lifetime experiance for nature lover.
