Surat on Monday witnessed a grand opening of hotel The Grand Bhagwati in presence of 1983 cricket world cup champion Kapil Dev, Indian cricket team captain Mahendrasingh Dhoni and bollywood star Bipasha Basu.
The Grand Bhagawati Surat is world’s first five-star hotel that is purely vegetarian. TGB group’s existing hotel in Ahmedabad is also four star, and strictly vegetarian.
The Grand Bhagwati Surat is defined as the largest five star deluxe hotel in Surat. It has 170 rooms. One night stay can cost Rs 9000 to 25000 depending on which room you choose. The hotel has India’s biggest convention centre(in-hotel category) with 1,2,000 square feet of convention space including large air conditioned area. The hotel houses three small banquet halls for birthday or kity party, and two big banquet halls for wedding functions(each 20000 square ft.) Moreover there’s terrace to that can be used for the functions. Halls are equipped with collapsible partition to accommodate desired figure of guests. If someone wants just five thousands guest then partition will make the hall of that size. Similarly there will be a facility to accommodate 10,000 and 15000 guests. For wedding functions, the hotel will arrange decoration, food etc.
Moreover there are facilities such as lush green lawns, four restaurants, coffee lounge, club facilities, half Olympic-sized swimming pool, spa, walking track, discotheque(Fever – 105), tennis court, billiards, theatre, squash room, cigar lounge, card room among others.
