We all have been tracking vibrant Gujarat summit since its first ever version. I am one of the many who are from Gujarat and working in IT company outside, for my case its Pune. In 2006 there was an IT specific Vibrant Gujarat and we all were very hopeful that finally IT will come to Gujarat. But five year down the line the Results are not at all positive. Some will say we have TCS, Patni, over very own e-infochip and yes Cybage. But that’s it. The CISCO investment in Finance tech city has also not materialized.

A shock came to me while going through PDFs of vibrant Gujarat 2011. They have all together dropped IT from there focus area. It was nowhere mentioned. In all the previous version it had a special mention and attempt was made to attract investment in it. Let’s hope IT gets big in Gujarat.

One more small thing, some people will be very angry with me over this. Boozes play a big big role in IT. Foreigners require alcohol every day its part of their life style. And on Friday and Saturday night they can’t live without it they want to go to good Pubs, restaurants and disks . Three and half year ago in my college days, I used to think what prohibition has to do with IT investment not coming to Gujarat. But lately realized its importance.

IT people have hole heartedly supported Namo government. Still remember the 14th December train from pune to ahmedabad all IT folks going to ahmdeabad for voting which was on Sunday, with just one hope that only one person that can make IT happen in Gujarat lets support him.

If the foreigners cannot do without liqour, oubs….we should not change our viewpoint!!
Has USA not banned outsourcing…did they think about others…

if we change our values for commercial interests…world will dominate us…

India is a land of immense potential…with natural resources, human resoureces…it can be a self sustaining economy!! The world will need us…more than we will need the world!!

an example is…see the turn around in Gujarat Agriculture…from 8000 crores to 50000 crores…it is nothing less than a miracle!! we need to realise our potential and we need not depend on any foreign company or liqour dependent foreigners!!

Hey I appreciate your views. But my opinion is little different. In “NAMO” government time, infrastructure development, individual businesses & property rates (Overall wealth) have improved…… though since past two years, government’s aggression & values to improve Gujarat are really poor.

Frankly saying not at “NAMO’s” standard.

Once you have selected growth path and that is your only election propaganda for educated community please stick to it and will back you as it is………
