Coming up shortly: Reliance Digital and Reliance Timeout stores in Ahmedabad

Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited(RIL) will open two new Reliance Timeout stores and one Reliance Digital store in Ahmedabad this month according to sources.

While one Reliance Timeout store will come up in Judges Bungalow area, the other would be opened on the second floor of Reliance Mart located at Iskon mall on SG Highway. The Reliance Digital store will also be opened on the same floor. While Reliance has already one Reliance Timeout store in Ahmedabad at CG road based Central mall, the Proposed digital store would be the first one in entire Gujarat.

Reliance Timeout is a grand book store on the line of Crossword chain. Reliance Digital is a one stop shop for all technology solutions in the field of consumer electronics, home appliances, information technology and telecommunications on the lines of Tata’s Croma store chain. Both stores will remain open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reliance Digital will continue to offer all its customers Reliance One, a common membership and loyalty program across all its formats, which follows the philosophy of ’Earn Anywhere, Spend Anywhere’. Reliance Digital will also provide easy and attractive finance options for purchases.

It should be mentioned here that Ahmedabad’s Reliance Mart was once a three-floor super market. Hit by slow-down, the company later shut down the first and second floor and shifted the sections of textile, furniture and electronics to ground floor. Now the proposed stores; Timeout and Digital will occupy the second floor.  ALL LCD TVs and a small mobile shop have been vacated on ground floor.

The staff recruiting for Reliance Digital resulted into several resignations at Tata’s two Croma stores in Ahmedabad last week.
