Officials of HCL Info-System Ltd received award for Best Computer Hardware/System Integrator - Non Gujarat

•       e-Infochips emerges as the best software company in Gujarat,
•       Genus Electro-Tech Ltd selected as the best electronics firm in the state
•       Vodafone and Azure ranked as the Highest Employment Generator – Gujarat

The Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association (GESIA) presented the 3rd Edition of Annual Awards – ‘GESIA AWARDS 2010’ at a glittering award distribution ceremony held in Ahmedabad in the presence of Mr. Ravi Saxena, IAS, Principal Secretary, Science & Technology, Govt. of Gujarat.

The Best Software Company – Gujarat award was presented to e-Infochips Ltd, while Digi-Corp Infosystem Pvt Ltd. was selected for the Rising Star –Software Company Award. The award for the Best Software Product Company was given to Elitecore, while E-procurement Technologies & Infostretch were jointly selected for the Rising Star – Best Software Product Company award.

Sai Infosystem India Ltd (SIS) was adjudged as the Best Computer Hardware / System Integrator – Gujarat & EVOSYS Pvt Ltd emerged as the Rising Star – Computer Hardware / System Integrator – Gujarat. Quality BPO – QX won the award for the Best Call Centre/BPO/KPO/ITES – Gujarat and Doshi Accounting Services & PCB Planet India jointly shared the Rising Star award for the same category.

Genus Electro-Tech Ltd was adjudged as the Best Electronics Company – Gujarat under the GESIA Awards. HCL Info-System Ltd. emerged as the Best Hardware/System Integrator Company – Non Gujarat. Under the best telecom Company category, Bharti Airtel Ltd won the award. While Azure Knowledge Corp Pvt Ltd. & Vodafone were ranked as the Highest Employment Generator – Gujarat. The Award for the Highest Employment Generator – Non-Gujarat was given to Aegis BPO. The award for the Best Innovation by an ICT company was also jointly shared by Infibeam & e-Infochips.

The who’s who of the ICT and Electronics industries in Gujarat were present at the GESIA Annual fete which included  Promoters, Directors, Partners as well as CEO’s, CFO’s, Presidents and top executives of over 300 IT, ITeS, Telecom & Electronics companies from across Gujarat & representation from sevaral parts India.

Mr. Ravi Saxena IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, graced the function as the Chief Guest. While addressing the function, Mr. Saxena said, “In this competitive world, initiatives that encourage companies to follow pursuit of excellence, are the need of the hour and initiative like GESIA Awards, which is aimed at facilitating exponential growth of the ICT and Electronics industry in Gujarat is a laudable effort.”

“ICT and Electronics industry has made significant progress in the state of Gujarat and the industry is bound to excel in days to come. The GESIA AWARDS not only acknowledges the major contribution made by the individual players in the state, but it also encourages the rest of the players to stand out and make Gujarat the hub for the ICT and Electronics industry too,” said Mr. Nirav Shah, President, GESIA.

“The 3rd edition of ‘GESIA Awards’ honoured the entities that have performed exuberantly well in the ICT industry in the state and have raised the bar of the state’s role and significance in the ICT industry. An eminent jury has decided the awards by screening the application received. These awards also recognize valuable contributions made by non-Gujarat based ICT companies having operations in Gujarat. The participation included nominations from leading companies from Software, BPO / KPO, Telecom / ISP and Electronics industry in the State of Gujarat,” informed Mr. Jaimin Shah, Vice President & Convener of GESIA Awards 2010.

In 2008 and 2009 also, GESIA acknowledged significant contributions made by ICT and Electronics firms in the state for growth of the industry through GESIA Awards. The Awards have become the most sought there after, as the selection of the awardees is made through utmost transparent and calibrated process of scrutiny. KPMG functioned as the Knowledge Partners to avert any process lag.

“These awards will encourage the ICT industry in the state gather momentum and inspire healthy competition to make them strive for further excellence in coming years,” added Mr. Shah.

    There seems to be typing mistake in company name “Infibeam” which I understand should be “Infinium” -Infinium (India) Ltd. Kindly confirm with GESIA.
