Central Electric Authority team visits Kutch to select land for proposed Mega power project

A team from Central Electric Authority on Tuesday visited Gujarat’s Kandla, Gandhidham and Mundra with intention to select the land for setting up imported coal based Alpha Mega Power Project. The team visited various possible sites near Kandla-Tuna and Mundra ports.

The government of Gujarat has proposed three places for proposed power plant. Kandla -Tuna is one of them. The team consisting Director Mr. Puri and Jain plus five senior officials intends to finalize a land near major port for easy availability of imported coal.Officials of Gujarat Power Corporation, local officials accompanied the team. Kandla Port Trust(KPT)’s Chairman P.D.Waghela showed a presentation to the team in KPT board room.
