If every thing goes according to plan, Saurashtra’s Surendranagar district will get a new industrial area next year.
It is learnt through sources that the government has identified land at Rajpar village of Wadhvan taluka in Surendranagar district to set up a new industrial township. The Chief Minister may perform ground breaking of this new industrial township during his 26 January visit to the district headquarter.
The township will have capacity to house 300 industrial units. In ideal condition, this project will have capacity to provide employment to 6,000 youths.
It should be mentioned here that Surendranagar, Wadhvan area has already a Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation(GIDC) township. However most of the units have closed here.
