“Our new proposed film city near Ahmedabad will provide opportunity to thousands of youths of Gujarat,” bollywood star Jacky Shroff said yesterday in Ahmedabad addressing a press conference. Jacky is brand ambassador for proposed film-city project near Ahmedabad.
Shroff said, Mumbai’s film studios are monotonous but Ahmedabad film city will change its look every three months. Thus it will make difference.
The proposed Rs 500 crore film-city will come up near Nal Sarovar according to Mihir Pandya, Director of Om Land Realty Pvt. Ltd, promoter company of Nal Sarovar City, a residential township near Nal Sarovar in Ahmedabad district.
Pandya said Rs 200 crore will be spent on infrastructure of Eco-friendly city in which Eco-friendly material will be used instead of traditional material such as stone, metal and plastic.
“Facilities such as tennis court, hotel, joggers park, swimming pool etc will be available in proposed film-city. Total 18.75 acre land has been selected. Of this 3.75 acres land will house three-floor studio.our target is to complete the first floor in next six months. It will be ready for shooting then after,” Pandya added.
It should be mentioned here that film stars: Shatrugna Sinha and Paresh Raval had signed MOU with state government for setting up film studios in Gujarat, however there is no progress on the ground so far after MOUs.
