A delegations of members of 35 countries from Asia and Africa today called on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
Modi told the delegates that Gujarat has achieved economic progress and now it wants to become the destination for cultural tourism also in the country, an official release said.
The delegates from 35 countries are here for the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Navaratri festival’. The delegation met industrialists and businessmen of the state yesterday. The delegation also visited Akshradham Mandir in Gandhinagar.
Modi said he wanted to highlight the Gujarati culture and bring its ‘Heritage Tourism’ to a global platform.
He also wished that besides economic relations, the cultural exchange between these countries and Gujarat is developed.
