Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (GCCI) Youth Wing led by Amitabh Shah, is going to launch a programme under which successful companies will give lessons to budding entrepreneurs.
In this programme, five young entrepreneurs each on a quarterly basis will be selected and trained by about 30 companies from Gujarat. About 600 young businessmen would get a chance to closely work with successful business houses. The companies would adopt young entrepreneurs and groom them in different disciplines of business and to help scale their businesses for three months. Some of the companies that have shown interest in the programme include Vadilal, Zydus Cadila, Claris, Motif, Meghmani and Cambay group among others.
The aspiring entrepreneurs will have to get a nod from the selection committee comprising former IIM-A director, Bakul Dholakia, IIM-A professor Anil Gupta, Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) director Dinesh Avasthi and Gujarat University’s vice-chancellor Parimal Trivedi.
The programme would be launched by technocrat Sam Pitroda on September 2 at the Indian Institute of Management in the presence of around 400 youth.
